Zakład regazyfikacji skroplonego gazu ziemnego (LNG) Gate terminal zlokalizowany w Maasvlakte (Rotterdam) został uznany „Projektem roku” przez Europejski Instytut Budowlany (ang. European Construction Institute, ECI). Nagroda została przyznana przez Instytut w trakcie XXIII dorocznej Konferencji ECI, która odbyła się w Dusseldorfie w dniach 26 i 27 kwietnia. Instytut ECI jest jedyną w Europie międzynarodową siecią edukacyjną i doskonalenia w zakresie całego cyklu projektów inżynierii budowlanej.

The Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) regasification plant Gate terminal, located in Maasvlakte (Rotterdam) has been named ‘Project of the Year’ by the European Construction Institute (ECI). This award was announced by the Institute during the 23rd Annual ECI Conference that took place in Dusseldorf between April 26th and 27th. ECI is Europe’s only transnational learning and improvement network covering the entire project cycle for Engineering Construction.

Roberto Felipe has been appointed General Manager of the engineering and construction company SENER in Mexico, replacing Jose Manuel Belmonte. In his new role, his main task will be to take advantage of opportunities to participate in the development of the country's infrastructure, both in the Civil and Architecture and as in the Power, Oil and Gas fields, as well as in other opportunities in the Aerospace and Marine sectors.

SENER has been nominated for the European Business Awards for the Environment that the European Commission delivers, biennially, in recognition of the business work in four categories: good management practices, products, international cooperation activities and processes. SENER, nominated in the latter category, is the only Spanish company to receive this recognition, after a total of 156 nominations from 24 member countries of the European Union. The Spanish engineering company will compete in Process category, in which it has been nominated, along with two other candidate companies to get the final prize.

Enrique de Sendagorta Aramburu, founder and Honorary President of the SENER engineering and technology group was awarded the National Lifetime Innovation Award on Thursday morning March 22 as part of the 2011 National Innovation and Design Awards, Spain's highest honor for recognizing companies and professionals notable for their exemplary careers in the field of design and innovation.
