SENER has experience in Polymers and Plastics as well as in the Agrochemical and Food industry, having carried out projects for Azucarera Espanola, Ebro, Hyram Walker, and OLCESA, the pharmaceutical products and antibiotics industry, having carried out projects for Vitateney and Antibiotics, inorganic chemical products for companies such as FORET and Tioxide Espana and detergents for companies such as PROCTER & GAMBLE.

SENER has carried out projects for high pressure polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutenes, polycarbonates, polyurethane, polystyrene, synthetic fibers and acrylic emulsions projects for companies such as REPSOL-YPF, DOW CHEMICAL, GE PLASTICS (now SABIC) and MONTEFIBRE HISPANIA.

Given the complexity of the units, the size of the project (in collaboration with other leading Spanish companies in the industry) as well as the activities performed (engineering, purchasing management and construction management), it is worthwhile to give special attention to the plants developed in Murcia for GE PLASTICS (now SABIC). SENER participated in LEXAN-I and LEXAN-II (both in collaboration with FW and TR) as well as in the ULTEM plant (in collaboration with TR), which is one of the primary examples in technology as well as materials and equipment complexity among plastics plants in the world.
